I am a native New Englander with my roots in Southern Maine. I grew up in the seacoast of New Hampshire enjoying the ocean, the changing seasons and hiking in the White Mountains. Growing up my family's passion for travel exposed me to diverse perspectives, values and ways of thinking. After moving to Maine in high school, I ventured out to the "other" Portland for college, matriculating at Lewis and Clark College in Portland, Oregon. My love of New England drove me back east to Boston where I studied at Boston University and received my Masters in Social Work. Soon after this I moved back to Maine and set firm roots in Portland.
My clinical training and professional experiences have occurred in many different settings including acute residential treatment as McLean Hospital in Belmont, MA, inpatient psychiatric treatment at Walden Behavioral Care in Waltham, MA, student health at Boston University, home and community treatment throughout Southern Maine and outpatient therapy in Brunswick, ME. Most recently I have been a clinical manager at Maine Behavioral Healthcare and decided to leave the hustle and bustle of a large corporation for the freedom to focus on my passion of working with individuals and families to improve their well-being and satisfaction with their lives. Overall I have been working as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker for 10 years in Maine.
Currently I live in Cumberland with my wife, son, daughter and one crazy dog. I am so thrilled to be able to provide the services that I offer and to work with so many wonderful clients! Please don't hesitate to contact me with any questions or requests for services!
